My Crazy Birthday

All the friends :) ...........

There are several reasons when your friends tell you that they are taking your birthday party into their hands to run as fast as you can...
Oh dear, there was a stripper - well who is also a friend so red is not quite the word that describes my face... It was great fun at the end of the day. Next year a bit more low key please.
I'm thinking Bora Bora with cocktails and a big sun hat.

The Grand Prix

The set up for the Grand Prix, First ever night race...

So unfortunately I was in Singapore  little to early to see the grand prix. One week too early,
but seeing that I was not supposed to be in Singapore at all and only went there because I didn't
wake up at my stop in KL. I guess I can't really complain...

I did get to see the entire set up of the "track" and actually drove the entire route on a open top bus. The best way to learn to navigate the city...

   The BUS

Little India and Malay quarter

Just in time for the festival.
  Local Silk Merchants!!!!
My Grandma would have gone crazy in this
store. We would have had to own the plane to get all her shopping home. I wish I could have every school dance I've ever had all over...

  The street where I lived.

I decided to stay in the Malay area as is was most central to everything. Accommodation is
very different from Thailand. It is quite a bit more expensive and 90% of the option are
dorm rooms, which was not my cup of tea for the first day and a half, but then I got to know the people around me and all worked out fine.

 Sleepy Sams, the Dorm.

China Town

Chilli Crab

This Restaurant has the best chilli crab in town.....

Gone to Singapore and hit China. It seems like you have crossed the border into
a different world. The people, the food, everything changes within a two block radius.
Loved the chilli crab, but looked like I was attacked by something by the time I left.
Eating chilli crab is a messy affair of mouth watering delights.
When I go back to Singapore, I will organize with the pilot, bus driver which ever mode of transport I find myself on to drop me directly here.
